After the meeting, he followed me out.
“Wait.”
I didn’t stop.

Only when we reached the hallway.
“You planned this?” he asked.
“No.”
I turned to face him.
“You did.”
He frowned.
“I gave you everything.”
I almost laughed.
“Everything?”
I stepped closer.
“You gave me loneliness. Disrespect. Betrayal.”

“And then you gave me freedom.”
Claire walked up, clearly irritated.
“This is insane. You think you can just—”
“Security,” I said calmly.
Two guards appeared instantly.
“Please escort her out.”
Claire’s expression shattered.
“You can’t do this!”
I didn’t even look at her.
“I just did.”
He watched silently.
For the first time—
he had nothing to say.
“I can fix this,” he said finally.
That familiar tone.
The one that used to make me hesitate.
Not anymore.
“You already fixed it,” I replied.
